So my winter break started on December 22nd and lasts until January 1st. Yeah, I have to go back to school on the 2nd and let me tell you, the senioritis is strong in this one! I'd rather jump into shark infested waters than go back to school. Anyways, I've had a really whirlwind winter break. At 2AM on the 23rd, my family found out that my mom's 88 year old father died of a heart attack. My Grandpa Joe was my oldest grandparent, but he was definitely the healthiest and most active or so we thought. Obviously it was hard to say goodbye to my Grandpa Joe. He was a lot like Carl Fredricksen from Up; grumpy old fart on the outside, adventurous and loving goofball on the inside. My family joked a lot about how even in his 80s he was still running circles around the rest of us. Of course though, with most of my family being born and raised in NY, there was a lot of drama, and yelling, and bawling (mostly from me, I hate being caught in the crossfire of family fights). Still, I love my crazy family and if anyone wants to hear any funny stories about the trip, shoot me a message! On New Year's Eve my (I guess) boyfriend is gonna sleepover and we're just gonna watch the Time Square Festivities on TV. What better way to celebrate than to stay in with junk food and snuggling in the living room? What's everyone else doing? xoxo Andie (:

Yeah, so sorry to read about your Grandpa Andie, always hard but somehow just a bit tougher over Crimbo. It sounds as if you and your family made the best of it though and i'd love to hear some of your funny stories about the trip.
A sleepover with your boyfriend? Ok i'm sitting here green with envy because mine is sick hundreds of miles away so I will be home alone and maybe I won't be having as much fun as Macauley Culkin had lol.
Happy New Year Andie xoxo
