Hey bubblykid. You probably won't like this but it's how I did it. Every time I wanted to eat something I knew I shouldn't, I asked myself the question 'which do I want more, this cake/choccie/chips or to lose weight' and somehow it helped me stop eating the goodies.
Yes I was VERY hungry a lot of the time but I did lose a lot of weight. Good luck and why don't you let us know here how you get on. Maybe a kind of bubblykid weigh in, although you don't have to say how much you weigh of course, just a daily/weekly diary of how it's going?
Just a suggestion x

My wife had the Gastric Sleeve stomach surgery in October and has lost 70 pounds in 3 months.
If you do what they say it's very successful. I'm proud of her. She feels better and knees don't hurt her like they used to. She no longer has to take blood pressure medicine or diabetes medicine.
I was skeptical about this surgery but I'm a believer and she has been very determined to make this a success.
Like you, she was a big eater with a huge appetite.
Also, you might want to check out the program called "Naturally Slim". It trains you how to eat less.
Something to consider, MyHelpShack

I won't lie, I'm still a big girl, but I've lost a few pounds using this method. I try to fill myself on a wide variety of healthy things, like string cheese and celery, carrots, and peppers. Then I treat myself to a small sweet thing like a single Oreo. So I still get the sweet thing I'm craving, but I'm filled up on healthier options.
